Favourite Authors

IMG_2266My favourite author is Ellen Hopkins. I first discovered her books at the time in my life where I could get the most out of her stories. I think that’s a large part of why I consider her my top favourite author.

Ellen Hopkins writes young adult and adult fiction books. With the exception of Love Lies Beneath and her short stories, all of her books are written in prose. The vast majority of her books deal with issues regarding addictions and/or mental health.

The first book I ever read by her was Identical, and I instantly fell in love. But it was Impulse that had the biggest influence on me. It really cemented my love for Hopkins’ writing.

A couple of my other favourite authors include:

  • Kelley Armstrong
  • Richelle Mead
  • Becca Fitzpatrick

  1. Nice blog!! I was scrolling it and came across this post. I don’t have any specific “favourite author” from current era. I like some authors a lot like Saa’di, Iqbal, Rumi, Alexander Dumas, Dickens, Hans Christian Andersen, Jane Austen, Emily Brontë (unsure which sister was best)
