Over the past week I’ve been dealing with a lot of stress. What better time to talk about self-care?
Self-care is doing simple things that help you feel better, and/or be healthy. It can be as simple as taking a nice bath after a hectic day, or making sure you eat an apple everyday.
It’s important to regularly take time to do things that make you feel good. Whether it’s only for two minutes, five minutes, or an hour. Taking a couple minutes to yourself everyday can greatly improve your happiness, health, and overall well-being.
Personally my self-care typically looks like reading, journaling, drinking tea, watching Girl Meets World, or maybe some crafts.
The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health has some good resources for developing a self-care plan and suggestions of what you can do for your self-care.
