1) You Were Here by Cori McCarthy

You Were Here takes place one year after the death of Jaycee’s brother, Jake. On the anniversary of Jake’s death Jaycee finds a map he left behind detailing various abandoned buildings. Accompanied by four classmates Jaycee sets out to explore all of the abandoned buildings in search for any sign of her brother.

2) Splintered by AG Howard

Alyssa is one of Alice’s descendants. Ever since Alice’s escapades in Wonderland her family has been cursed. When Alyssa’s mother takes a turn for the worse, and she discovers Alice’s tales and the curse are real, she descends into Wonderland in hopes of saving her mother, and herself.

3) The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

The Alchemist follows the story of a young shepherd on the journey of his Personal Legend – what a person is mean to accomplish in their life. Throughout his journey he meets many interesting people and learns many life lessons.

4) Dangerous Lies by Becca Fitzpatrick

After agreeing to testify in a murder trial Stella is whisked away from her friends and boyfriend and thrust into witness protection. As the city girl adjusts to small town country living she’s surprised by the connections she makes and her attraction to Chet, a boy who is definitely not her  city boyfriend.

5) Simon vs the Homosapiens Agenda by Becky Abertalli

After a private email falls into the wrong hands Simon finds himself being blackmailed. If Simon doesn’t help his blackmailer the whole school will find out his secret, that he is gay. But not only that, the leaked email will expose Blue, an anonymous boy Simon has connected with over email. If Simon doesn’t want to risk a chance at love he has to find a way out of this mess.

6) Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur

Milk and Honey is a collection of poems divided into four parts, the hurting, the loving, the breaking, and the healing. Through these poems Kaur explores themes of love, abuse, femininity, and loss.

7) Saga Volume One by Brian K Vaughan

Saga is the story of two lovers from warring planets and their newborn daughter. The three of them have to navigate unfamiliar terrain while running from a bunch of people who to kill them.
